Biography

Cellist

His music education started with his father and continued at the Escola Municipal de Música de Barcelona, with Josep Soler (cello) and Enric Morera (harmony). He was part of several chamber music ensembles, such as trio Bocquet, Quintet Munner, Quintet Català and Quartet Labor Artis, and the Agrupació de Cambra de Barcelona. He also performed with the Orquestra Municipal de Barcelona and in the continuation with the Orquestra Ciutat de Barcelona. He won the Parramon Prize (1925) and the Extraordinary Prize of the City Council of Barcelona (1949). He was appointed professor of cello at the Escola de Música de Barcelona.
