Biography

Composer

The only surviving evidence of his figure has been documented in 1546, as a "puntador de libros" of the chapel of Ferdinand II of Aragon, Duke of Calabria. He has been credited as the copyist of the well-known Cançoner de Gandia (currently held in Uppsala). Among his sacred compositions, a mass and three motets and psalms have survived, in addition to the well-known polyphonic version of Cant de la sibil·la of Valencia. Other surviving material include half a dozen songs and La trulla, which has been considered the longest ensalada of the Renaissance period.
