                Biography
                Composer, conductor and organist
He began his education at the Escolania de Montserrat with Anselm Viola and Narcís Casanoves. He was ordained in 1790 and, two years later, he was appointed director of the Escolania de Montserrat. During the war of 1808-1814 he lived in Terrassa, where he composed for the music chapel. After the war, he contributed to the reestablishment of the Escolania and, together with Jacint Boada and Benet Brell, the restoration music archive of Montserrat. He spent his days as organist at the monastery of Sant Benet de Bages. Although most of his output has not survived, some Sonatas for the organ and Sis quintets per a instruments de vent (1804) have been preserved.
