He studied at the Mollera Academy in Girona and, later, at the Escola Municipal of Barcelona with Josep Soler, Gaspar Cassadó and Joan Massià. He was a member of several chamber ensembles such as the Quintet Català and the Quartet Laietà, and founded the Quartet de Corda de Barcelona, a quartet with which he performed Beethoven’s String Quartets. He was a member of the Pau Casals orchestra (1927), the Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Orquestra Ibèrica de Concerts and the Orquestra Municipal of Barcelona. He taught at the Marshall Academy, at the Conservatori del Liceu and in Manresa. He was a contributor to Scherzando journal.
