Biography

PIanist, composer and teacher

He studied piano, harmony and composition with Granados and Pedrell, and violin with Mathieu Crickboom. He was a teacher at his own academy, founded in 1911. He also devoted himself to poetry, sculpture and painting and is known to have written a treatise of harmony and instrumentation. He composed a large number of works considered of melodic inspiration, including religious, piano, orchestra and chamber music, as well as harmonization of popular songs. He died prematurely and information about his output is still scarce.
