Barcelona , 5 December 1706
Composer and Kapellmeister.
Chorister and Kapellmeister at Lleida’s cathedral from 1668 to 1682, a post he held without taking competitive examination. In 1682 he became Kapellmeister of Barcelona’s cathedral, and in 1696 he left the post (soon to be taken by Francesc Valls) due to health issues. About thirty religious compositions by him have been preserved, mostly in romance language. His music has been considered a continuation of the music of his predecessors with the experimentation characteristic of the composers of the time.
