Biography

Composer and music critic

He began his musical studies in 1952 with Ernest Cervera and Enric Ainaud and graduated in philosophy. From 1973, he was a music critic for various journals and newspapers. He authored a monograph on Xavier Montsalvatge and worked on the catalogue and chronology of Joaquim Homs’ musical works. He composed music in diverse styles from the neoclassical to the atonal. His output includes Estampes I (1989) and Estampes II (1995) for symphony orchestra.
