Biography

Violinist and teacher

He was the son of the composer and diplomat Eduardo Viscasillas. He began his studies at the Conservatori de Música i Declamació Isabel II in Barcelona. He moved to Madrid where he continued his studied with Jesus Monasterio and later at the Royal Conservatory of Bologna. He also studied law at the University of Zaragoza. However, he decided to dedicate himself to teaching music as a teacher of violin and viola at the Barcelona Conservatory of Music. He was the first violin of the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
