Composer and Kapellmeister
Kapellmeister at Sant Genís in Torroella, he was appointed Kapellmeister at Girona’s Cathedral. In 1796, he was appointed lifelong Kapellmeister of Seville, a position he fulfilled until his death. In 1815, after considering his Lamentación primera del Jueves Santo he was appointed honorary master of the Accademia Filarmonica of Bolonia.
His output shows the stylistic features of the classicism combined with an italianising lyrical language.
