Biography

Composer and pianist of Occitan descent, son of the painter Gilbert de Séverac. He studied at the Schola Cantorum in Paris with Vincent d'Indy and Isaac Albéniz, for whom he worked as an assistant. He moved to Ceret and got acquaint with Catalan writers such as the playwright Adrià Gual. His output is mostly for the piano, with a clear influence of Debussy combined with traditional Occitan music.
