Capella de Música de la Catedral de Girona

History:
Since 1474 this cathedral had a music chapel, an ensemble promoted by Bishop Joan Margarit. However, the chapel did not consolidate its structure until 1621, when it was developed by Bishop Pere de Montcada. Throughout its history, it has had prominent Kapellmeisters such as Francesc Soler, Josep Gaz, Tomàs Milans, among others. After a few years of inactivity, the music chapel was revived by Bishop Frederic Pujol and consists of a vocal octet and organ that perform in liturgical ceremonies.
