Biography

Organ maker

He was the son of Sebastià Llorenç, who worked with Josep Boscà Serinyena in the construction of organs. Upon his father’s death, her mother Serafina married Josep Boscà Serinyena, who adopted the young Anton. Surviving evidece suggests Antoni worked in the organs of the Cathedral of Manresa, Alcover (1740), Sant Daniel de Girona (1761), and the great organ of the basilica of Montserrat (1737), among many others. He was considered a very good organ maker, but somewhat disorganized, perhaps because he accepted many commissions.
