Mother of Mercè Capsir, she was known by the stage name Mercedes Tressols. Together with her husband baritone Josep Capsir, she created and directed an Opera, Operetta and Zarzuela Company bearing her stage name, with which she performed in Spain, Portugal and South America.

Between 1913 and June 1914, the company toured cities and theatres in Brazil, such as the Polytheama and Colombo in Sao Paulo, the Recreio and Palace Theater in Rio de Janeiro or the Municipal de Belo Horizonte. In the summer of 1914, the company returned to Spain and in September they offered various performances at the Teatro Circo in Albacete.

The company's repertoire included operettas such as Léhar’s Der Graf von Luxemburg and Die Lustige Witwe, Vives’s La Generala, Calleja’s revue El país de les fades and Penella’s Les muses llatines, as well as Fernández Caballero’s zarzuela El duo de l’Africana, Luna’s Els cadets de la reina, among others.

Ramona Vidal abandoned the stage to devote herself to the musical education of Mercè Capsir during her early professional career.
