Biography

Kapellmeister and composer

According to the contemporary source Calaix de Sastre (a diary by Rafael Amat i de Cortada), he applied for various Kapellmeister position in churches such as that of Santa Eulàlia in Berga. He was appointed Kapellmeister of the church of Santa Maria del Pi, as evidenced by a document from 1814. On his death, he was succeeded by his disciple Josep Rosés. His reduced surviving output includes mostly religious music.
