History:
Created in 2001, this is the public institution for higher musical studies of Catalonia. It is located in L'Auditori building in Barcelona and it offers studies in classical, contemporary, jazz, modern, popular and early music performance, as well as composition, conducting, musicology, pedagogy, sonology, and production and management. Throughout its history, Gerard Claret, Salvador Mas, Josep Borràs and currently Núria Sempere have been directors of the institution.
