History:
Music chapel of the cathedral of Valencia (metropolitan basilica), seat of the archbishopric of Valencia. It was one of the great centres for Hispanic music due to the important musical activity developed from its early days. Figures such as Joan Genís Peres, Joan Baptista Comes, Joan Baptista Cabanilles or Lluís Vicent Gargallo exemplify its importance. The organ and organists of this music chapel have also contributed to the chapel’s renown.
